Monospace is inspired by the simple idea of friends getting together to share a great meal, discuss ideas, play records for each other and dance in the living room. We facilitate community and culture through immersive sound, welcoming hospitality and curated experiences. We believe the intersection of these interests provides opportunities for discovery, good times and an expanded understanding of the earth we inhabit together. It is our joy to host our guests while providing a platform for artists, chefs, DJ’s, makers, publishers, farmers, and like-minded purveyors to find a voice and share their talents and views.
We are currently in Phase I operations which includes the launch of our online shop, a series of pop-up events, and a soon to open outdoor venue, eatery and watering hole in the Southside neighborhood of Chattanooga. Phase I will help funding for Phase II while allowing our programming and operations to initiate.
Everyone is welcome, but you gotta act right. If you attend any of our events or visit our physical space, we abide by the following: no transphobia, no homophobia, no racism, no ableism, no body shaming, no misogyny, no violence, no ageism. We believe in old-school values that defined the early underground scene - it's a party that is all about inclusivity and diversity, about making everyone and anyone feel welcome irrespective of age, race, sex, gender, ability, religion, background or sexuality. If we detect hate of any kind you will be politely asked to leave.
